Is newborn photography safe for my baby?

Your baby's safety is our absolute first priority—always. We follow a strictly baby-led approach, which means we never force a pose, we never rush, and we always follow your baby's cues. Our studio is fully sanitized before every session. Posing props are carefully padded and supported. We work slowly, gently, and with constant attention to your baby's comfort and well-being. Every pose and setup we use has been specifically learned and practiced with safety as the guiding principle. You will never be asked to leave the room—we work with you present at all times.

When should I book my newborn session?

We recommend booking your newborn session during your second trimester—ideally between 20 and 28 weeks pregnant. This allows us to reserve your date and plan around your due date. The ideal age for newborn photography is within the first 14 days of life, when babies are sleepier and more naturally settled. That said, we genuinely work with babies and children of all ages—so even if you are reading this after those first two weeks, please still reach out. We will create something beautiful no matter where you are in your baby's journey.

Do you offer in-home newborn photography?

Yes — and for most families, the home is our favourite setting. When you are in your own space, you are relaxed, your baby is comfortable, and the photographs reflect your real life rather than a generic studio backdrop. We bring absolutely everything to you — premium wraps, props, posing cushions, and backdrops — so you do not need to source or prepare a single thing. Just have your home at a comfortable temperature, baby freshly fed, and leave the rest to us.

Do you have a photography studio?

Yes—our studio is located in New Westminster, BC, and is available for newborn, maternity, and family sessions. It is a warm, beautifully curated space designed specifically for portrait photography with a full collection of premium props, wraps, and backdrops. We also offer in-home sessions throughout the Lower Mainland. During your consultation, we will talk through both options and help you decide which setting is the best fit for your family, your vision, and your lifestyle.

What areas do you serve?

We serve families across the entire Lower Mainland. Our primary service areas include Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Delta, Abbotsford, and Vancouver. We also regularly photograph in Coquitlam, Richmond, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, and North Vancouver. In-home sessions are available throughout all of these areas, and studio sessions are available at our New Westminster location. If you are unsure whether we cover your area, please reach out—we almost certainly do.

We have deep experience photographing South Asian families and celebrating the beautiful traditions, ceremonies, and milestones that define your culture. That said, we warmly welcome families of every background, culture, and tradition. Every family deserves to see themselves reflected in beautiful heirloom photography—and we consider it a privilege to be the ones who create that for you.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

Wardrobe is a huge part of the luxury maternity experience—and you do not have to figure it out alone. Every maternity client receives a personal styling consultation before their session where we discuss color palettes, silhouettes, and what will photograph most beautifully for your body, your skin tone, and your chosen setting. We also maintain a curated client wardrobe of premium gowns and dresses available to borrow at no extra charge. Our general guidance: flowing silhouettes, rich jewel tones or soft neutrals, and fabrics that move beautifully. Avoid busy patterns and large logos. When in doubt—ask us. That is exactly what we are here for.

Can parents, siblings, and grandparents be included?

Everyone is welcome—and we mean everyone. Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins—multi-generational portraits are some of the most treasured images we create. There is something deeply powerful about a photograph of four generations together, and those images become family heirlooms that are passed down for decades. We are experienced in photographing large South Asian family gatherings and know how to bring warmth, energy, and genuine connection to group portraits. Every session includes a pre-session consultation where we plan your vision together, personal styling guidance and access to our client wardrobe, a professionally directed session with unhurried and generous time, expert hand-editing of every delivered image, a private online gallery with print-ordering capability, and a premium product reveal appointment where we walk you through your artwork options. For newborn sessions, we bring all props, wraps, and backdrops to you. For families investing in wall art and albums, we guide every step of the design and ordering process. This is a white-glove experience—not just photographs.

How much should I expect to invest?

We believe that beautiful photography is one of the most meaningful investments a family can make—because unlike almost everything else you will spend money on this year, these images will still be on your walls in 40 years. Our clients typically invest an average of $750 in their session experience, which includes their session and a curated collection of digital images. For families who choose to invest in wall art, albums, and printed heirlooms, collections go beyond that. We do not position our work around discounts or deals—we position it around value, longevity, and the extraordinary return on an investment in your family's story. We are happy to walk you through all options during your consultation.
